Vintage Truck Father's Day Card

I cut the auto tags out of a printed sheet found in the  clearance section of the LSS.

The vintage truck is a Tim Holtz stamped image.

The background is embossed with a diamond plate folder.

Father's Day Card

Now that I've delivered my Mother's Day cards to the nursing home it's time to get started doing some for Father's Day.

My stamp library doesn't have a lot of masculine themed stamps but this horse head is one of my favorites to use.

It's stamped with Close to Cocoa ink and mounted onto a frayed section of burlap.

The concho image and feathers are clip art images. 

The sentiment was printed on my computer.

Top Hat Card -- 30 Minute Card

The images are from Billionaire cartridge.  I added the circle onto the bow tie and used a fine marker for the cord on the monocle.

Road Trip Card

The truck is a Tim Holtz stamp; the sign is a clip art image I traced and cut with Silhouette software; the words were cut using Make The Cut and Raceway font.

This sheet of license tag paper has been hanging around a long time.  I really liked it but had no good idea on how to use it until today.

Deer Silhouette Cards -- 30 Minute Card

 Two quick cards using some silhouette images.  The oval cut out with trees is one image and the deer is a separate image.

Father's Day Cards

This is a repeat of a layout done in the past.  I changed the colors and inks and it looks quite a bit different.

The football is a Silhouette shape cut from paper printed to resemble the texture of an actual football.

Inside sentiment: "Kick off, kick back and enjoy your Father's Day"

My goal for the weekend was to make a dozen different Father's Day card layouts for the local nursing homes.  With these two, that's eleven down and only one more design to come up with.

Western Themed Card

Clip art images, a sentiment printed on my computer and some barn wood printed paper fit together to make a quick, Western themed card.

Deer Sillhouette Card

It's that time of the year!  We are having some fall-like weather so I got inspired to make a fall themed card.  Fall in Oklahoma means hunting and this is a perfect masculine fall themed card for the season.

The front is embellished with some hemp twine, burlap and a silk fall leaf.  I had to add some pen stitching, of course.

Motorcycle Inchie Card

The motorcycle is a Stampin' Up image.  I used portions of two other larger stamped images across the bottom.  Inspiration for this card came from one done by Deb Valder.

Western Themed Cards

I stamped the pocket and hand cut some paisley paper for the handkerchief.


The other elements are from a printed sheet from a western themed stack from Hobby Lobby.

Maxium Power Stamps Card

Two new sets of stamps by Close to My Heart arrived today.   I needed something to make masculine cards with and the vehicles, tire tracks and sentiments in the Maximum Power set work well.

The image was stamped with Memento ink and colored with Promarkers. The background was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.

Rock Star Card

A combination of traced clip art, an image from Indie Art cartridge and a couple of stamps was used on this card.  I think it will make a good card for a teen boy.

It's Your Day Card

This card was done for a challenge on the Old Cricut Community page.  Shirley (Okieladybug) Thompson has been posting a sketch for the challenge and providing the cut file for the elements.

I used the retired motorcycle stamp from Stampin' Up and added the gear cut outs to the front.  The papers are from a Halloween pack from Stampin' Up.

Stamping Motion Technique

My friend, and Stampin' Up demonstrator, Robin Goens, offered me this retired motorcycle stamp.  Since I find it so difficult to come up with good ideas for masculine cards, I told her I definitely wanted the stamp!

A medium priority box was delivered today from Robin.  She'd stuffed it with designer paper from Stampin' Up for me to use for Operation Write Home cards! 

We've been babysitting our grandson for a couple of days so when he went down for his nap, I had to get into the papers and play with the stamp.  I did a little research online and ran across a Stampin' Up blog that explained the stamping motion technique to make the image look as if it's moving.

You stamp the image the first time with the stamp fully inked, then without re-inking, you just repeat stamping the image.  Each time you stamp, the image becomes lighter and it does give the impression of motion.
