A Child's Year and Lacy Labels were used for the Cricut cuts on this card. My "it's too dull now to even use anymore" Martha Stewart punch was used for the border pieces.
I did ink the edges of the butterflies and then used a Paper Studio stamp for the sentiment.
Martha Stewart border punches are now off my shopping list. The lever handles don't work nearly as well as the EK Success ones! And, in my experience, using the MS punches on cardstock dulls them way too quickly when compared to the EK Success brand.
I ruined too much paper trying to get the edges punched cleanly and finally managed to get enough borders done for a few cards by using card stock instead.

Lida,I love this card.....beautiful!!
this card is beautiful!! :) And I read somewhere that if you punch tin foil (muliple times) it can sharpen your punches. I dont know if thats true or not, but if ya cant use it anyway, maybe its worth a try?
Cute card!!! I don't have very many punches and don't use them very often (except my corner rounder) so I don't worry about them getting dull!
Love the card Linda! Just wanted to let you know if you punch tin foil or used/new sandpaper with your punches it will sharpen them. I have problems with this MS punch too, but this is the only one I have problems with. Don't give up on the ones you have yet, try sharpening them. I love EK Success's punches too!!!
I think this is one of the most beautiful cards you have done!
