Flip Flop Card
There's a wonderful stamp store about 50 miles from my house. The artist in residence is Vicki Bridges. She teaches classes and has a page on Facebook. Mizbizzibees Little Bees, where she shares her card layouts. She posted this one today and I just had to try my hand at making one.
The original had sandpaper pieces with torn edges for the beach. It's too hot today to go all the way into town to buy sandpaper, so I used patterned paper instead that looks like real sand.
I would have sworn one of my Cricut cartridges had a flip-flop sandal and probably spent a half hour trying to find it! LOL! Never did, so I used Design Studio and a shape from Doodlecharms to make my own. I made two sizes, one for the sole and one for the insole.
The straps on the sandal are just 1/4" ribbon. I punched holes in the shoe and then threaded the ribbon through them and secured it with a lime slice brad from Eyelet Outlet.
The flower is just three layered punched shapes with a dot of Pearl Pen for the center. The sentiment is part of a summer themed stamp set I've had for some time.

Snow Globe Card
This card was inspired by one seen on Splitcoast Stampers. I tried to go back on that site today to get the name of the person who posted it on there and the photo has been removed.
I used George, Doodlecharms and Bloom to cut the shapes. The card front was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. The bird is from an old set of SU stamps; I colored it with Promarkers. The snowflakes were made using a Pearl Pen.
Thanks to Okieladybug, aka Shirley, for giving me some photography tips and explaining how to use a homemade light box. The photos I made of this card really turned out better than the ones I made before she explained how to place a lamp to illuminate the object!

I'm going to have to work a little more on the line work on the snow globe base. The Promarker bled into the cut so I need to smooth it out with some shading so it looks straighter.
The inking on the card would have looked a lot better if my Color Box chalk inks weren't so dry. I have several colors of these inks and use them a lot but every one of the blue ink pads I've purchased is dried up when I get them! There are six blue ink pads on my work table right now and they're all that way---and they're new! I sure need to find some other brand of blue ink to buy!

Latest Recipe Pages
Several weeks ago, I posted some squash pickle recipes on my blog and just now got around to doing the pages for my recipe album.
Preserves was used to cut the word "canning" and the jar came from Doodlecharms. That's an older cartridge but it will surprise you at how many useful cuts are on it!
Both word "squash" and the squash images were cut using the Freshly Picked cartridge.
I also did a page for the wonderful English Muffin recipe that I posted this week but the recipe was so long there wasn't much room left for any type of embellishment. That page just has the recipe and a photo of the finished muffins on it.

Popsicle Card
Thanks to Deblet on the Cricut Card MB for sharing her card shaped like a popsicle. Using her idea, I cut the popsicle on Doodlecharms and the lettering from Cindy Loo.
It's another great card for a kid, maybe even a teenager!

Simple "S" fold Valentine
Mary at CardzTV did a card like this last year. Since I'm trying to use up my Valentine's Day paper and am totally rum-dumb for ideas, I just copied hers! LOL!
More Little Yellow Bicycle paper, I used Doodlecharms for the hearts and computer printed the sentiment.

Of course, it's another CFS card.
