More Christmas Cards

 The letters were cut with a Cameo.  I used an embossing folder and Cuttlebug on the white background pieces.  The snowflakes and holly leaves were punched.  I added some Pearl Pen dots.

 The coffee cup is a Tim Holtz die.  I printed the sentiment using Hallmark card making software.  The background was embossed with the Divine Swirls folder.

The sentiment was computer generated and punched out.  The mittens are a retired Stampin' Up punch.  The background was embossed using a Cuttlebug.

All these will be sent to military overseas.

White Reindeer Christmas Card

 The reindeer, wreath and bow were cut using my Cameo and MTC.  The wreath is made with two re-sized scalloped circles; the bow and reindeer are clip art images, traced and cut.

This card was inspired by one seen online.  It's a good way to use up scraps of holiday design paper.

Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine had a door embossing folder as well as a set of coordinating stamps as their gift with Issue 154. 

Even though I made hundreds of Christmas cards for nursing homes just a couple of months ago, I don't have a single one to use myself this holiday season!  I decided this set would make some very nice cards to send.

The curved scalloped border on the top and the holly was cut on my Cameo.  I used a Stampin' Up border punch for the bottom piece.

Only one layout was done today.  Income tax season is just around the corner and today was class day--60 miles away from my home. It was also grocery shopping day.  By the time I got home I was too tired to undertake multiple layouts!

The jingle bells are cut from shiny red cardstock.  I used a metallic silver Promarker to add some detail on the bells as well as the background.

The card that inspired this had silver bows on the bells.  It didn't take long for me to get tired of tying such tiny bows and revert to using the red bows I buy at Hobby Lobby.  I completed eight of these and just didn't have the desire to tie twenty four bows!

This was inspired by a card seen on Splitcoast Stampers.

 The holly leaves are from a Cricut cartridge.  I traced and cut the bells.  The sentiment is computer printed.

 The tags are Graphic 45 punch outs.  I printed the sentiment on my computer and added a punched scalloped border.

 The stamps used are from Loads of Love set by Stampin' Up.  I colored the image with Promarkers.

The bell and bow are cut from mica paper.  The image is from a Cricut cartridge.

 There are four sizes of snowflakes pop dotted for dimension.  They're from Accent Essentials cartridge, cut with my Cameo.

The sentiment is computer printed.  The background embossed with a frame folder. 

The greenery was done with a Martha Stewart punch.
I added gold Stickles to the center of the flowers.

Making Christmas Cards - Day 7

Whew!  I've spent the last week working on Christmas cards for hours and hours.  To date, I have a total of 161 cards.  My original goal was to make a card for each of the residents at a nursing home/rehab center that my husband used for physical therapy following surgeries.  I knew I needed no less than 85.  I've met my goal and have extras to send to a friend who "volunteered" to make 150 cards for two other nursing centers.

 Swiss Dots embossing folder was used on the base.  The image is clip art found online.  I pop dotted it for dimension.  The sentiment was computer generated.

 This is a punch art card.  I embossed 2" circles and cut them in half for the collar. The half circles are pop dotted for dimension. The buttons are 1/2" circles with white gel pen dots.  The buckle is a 1" square with a 3/4" square punched out of the center.

The Christmas trees were cut with my Cameo.  I cut them 2" tall and embossed one with a Swiss Dot folder.  The 1 1/4" red strip was embossed with a Darice folder.  The sentiment was printed using Hallmark Car Studio software.

Each of these cards was inspired by ones seen online.

Making Christmas Cards -- Day 6

It's taken me all afternoon to get just eight of these assembled.  You'd think as many years as I've spent making cards and using software I'd remember to save a file once it's completed!  I accidentally turned the power off on my Cameo, caused an error in Make The Cut and had to restart the program.  "Poof!" the file was gone!

This card was designed by Pam McKay.  I changed it slightly by adding the white pen work.

The gingerbread men are from the Cricut cartridge Gingerbread and cut at 3/4" tall,   The details were added with markers.  I pop dotted them for dimension.

The oven mitts are from the Cricut cartridge From My Kitchen.

The snowflakes are all done with punches.  I cut the ric rac with my Cameo.

 I used a partial image and white kraft ink for the trees.  The birds were cut with my Cameo.

 It's not evident in the photo, the star is gold metallic cardstock. 

The bird and branch were done with a Stampin' Up punch.  The sentiment is also by Stampin' Up.

 An image from Lovely as a Tree stamps was embossed with blue embossing powder.  I added some red Stickles dots.

 Gold embossing powder was used for the trees, snowflakes and sentiment.

The tree was cut from silver metallic paper using my Cameo.  I added some silver Stickles dots and a tiny red bird.

The ornament shape was printed and cut using my Cameo.
