"Moments" Butterfly Card

Using a Cuttlebug, I embossed one of the mats and the frame cutout.

I cut the frame, tag and butterfly using Make The Cut.  The bottom edge of the tag was punched with a We R Memory Keeper edge punch. The scalloped border was done with a Stampin' Up punch.

The tag and butterfly are pop dotted for dimension.

I added some adhesive pearls to balance the arrangement.

This card was inspired by one seen online.

Milk and Cookies Card

The cow was cut using From My Kitchen.  It's cut at 2" and using Design Studio I flipped the image so the cow would be facing left.  *** I knew if I didn't flip the cow, that Okieladybug would make a smart remark about the cookies being behind the cow! ***  The black spots, hooves and nose were colored with Promarkers.

The tiny cookies were cut by hand from a sheet out of a Paper Studio stack named Sugar and Spice and pop dotted onto the grass.

Hallmark card making software was used to print the sentiment on the background.  I used a Divine Swirls embossing folder to give the grass some dimension and inked the edges.

*****After this was posted, I entered it into a challenge on a site called Bitten by the Bug 2.  Be sure to check out the blog!  Just scrolling through a couple of pages I've seen so many wonderful card ideas using your Cricut machine! *******

Rainbow Card

For the image on this card, I downloaded a free clip art image of a rainbow, imported it into a photo editing program and cropped it in half.  After I printed it, I added some bling to the rainbow with a Gelly Roll pen and a black border around the outer edges.

The clouds were cut using Design Studio from the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge.  I embossed the clouds and the background using Cuttlebug folders.

The sentiment was printed using my computer and card making software then punched with a Stampin' Up punch.

My Version of a Stampin' Up Card

Saw this one in a Stampin' Up catalog I was looking through this evening.  Most of the time I don't have all the stamps and punches they use on their examples, but this time I did!

The stamp set is Language of Friendship.  I used a 2 3/8" scalloped circle punch to mount the bird.  There are Stickles in the centers on the flowers.  I used a Cuttlebug folder for the background and added a little ink for dimension.

Cuttlebug Valentine

I like the red, white and black combination!  The white portion has small hearts embossed on it and the red has large hearts.  The "vellum" under the center heart was embossed with the same large heart folder.  The heart was embossed with Divine Swirls folder.

I used a Stampin' Up punch for the heart and an EK Success corner punch on the black square.

Five Minute Cards

A lot of people ask me how in the world I make so many cards.  They may have seen a card that had a lot of details on it, hand work, inking, etc. and suppose that I spend that much time on all my card layouts.

A few weeks ago, I posted a series of what I called "30 Minute Cards" to show that you can make really nice cards that you'll be proud to use without spending a lot of time or having a room full of supplies and tools.

Pinterest has become a favorite place for me to visit.  If I see a card that I like, I re-pin it into a Paper Inspiration board so I can easily find it again.  These cards were inspired by one I saw on Pinterest from Lorrie's Story Creations.  I was not able to locate the original post to give full credit to Lorrie.

A Cuttlebug folder, punched shape (or Cricut cut), a corner punch and some pop dots are all you need to do these. And you can definitely do them in less than five minutes each.

They'd make perfect Christmas cards!

Changing the embossing folder gives each card a slightly different look.  A Martha Stewart punch was used for the snowflakes.  They're punched from Mica paper.
I like the clean lines of this card!  It's one that would work well for any winter birthday as well as a holiday card.
Of course, you could always stamp a sentiment onto a cut out shape and put it on the front too.
Lorrie's card I saw on Pinterest was a lot like this one.  I pop dotted the bird on the front as well as the embossed piece of cardstock.

This bird is from Lacy Labels but you could use any punch shape that you like to go with your Cuttlebug folder.

Butterfly and Roses Card

It's not obvious in the photo, but, this is a 5 x 7 card.  I don't make that size unless it's a special order but I found a pack of 8 black cards with envelopes at Michael's for only .50.  Knowing that was a huge bargain, I picked   them up and put them in my stash.  Today I ran across them and this is what I came up with.

The butterfly is a SU punch, the roses are SU done with StazOn black in on red paper. One rose is attached with a glue dot and the other is pop dotted for dimension.   I used the Cuttlebug on the white background oval, and you can't see them all, but there are five 1.25 inch circles cut in half and layered under the ribbon.

There's a total of eight cards like this, some have stickles added onto the flower and butterfly and a couple have some black buttons added onto the white oval.

It seems like I learn something each time I lay out a new card.  First, I decided to do the black and white rectangles, then added the circle halves to look like large scallops peeking out under the ribbon.  I wanted to put two flowers and a butterfly in an oval and didn't realize the oval would be so big that you can't see the scallop!  But, it turned out cute anyway!

Love Card

I "guess-timated" where to print the sentiment so I could finally use this Cuttlebug folder.  I've had it for over a year and couldn't come up with a good use for it!

The hearts are a SU stamp and punch.  The thinner font is my favorite of the two I used.

This would make a good wedding card too!
