Cutout Heart Card

Seems like forever since I've made a card!  It's been over a month since I've had either the time or energy to work in my craft room.

This card was inspired by one seen online.  Using my Cameo, I cut the heart opening in the dotted cardstock. The heart shapes were embossed with the Brocade Cuttlebug folder.   Then I added a shadow layer to the heart out of the darker pink cardstock, a couple of flowers and a bow.

After adding the pink and off white cardstock underneath the cutout I decided it was too plain so I added some pen work and Pearl Pen dots.

Sending Love Card

Designed by Donna Crandall
This card showed up on Card Making USA on Facebook.  It was designed by Donna Crandall as a sympathy card.  I modified her idea to use as an Operation Write Home card.

The envelopes are clip art images, I printed the large sentiment in Hallmark Card Studio, stamped the "Love", and added some inking and pen work. The tiny red heart is a Martha Stewart punch.

The outer edge of the purple paper was shaped with a Memories Direct rotary blade and ruler.

Song in My Heart Card

Julie Day created this card layout.  I saw it after it was pinned on Pinterest and wanted to duplicate it.

It took me longer than I thought; getting the printing just where it needed to be and finding some sheet music clip art to use took quite some time!

Love Card

I used God's Beauty stamps from SU and another torn page from an old book for the background.

S'more Card

Looking back through some old issues of Cards magazine I saw a card with a marshmallow and graham cracker on it made of chipboard.  I thought the card was cute so this is what I designed.  The marshmallow was made using the small SU oval punch to trace the rounded top.  Two colors of brown cardstock were layered, trimmed by hand and the corner punched to look like a bite was taken out.

The branch was cut using the Bloom cartridge and the 3 1/2" circle moon was embossed with my Cuttlebug and inked.  The sentiment was printed on my computer.  The faces are Peachy Keen stamps.

Love Card

I "guess-timated" where to print the sentiment so I could finally use this Cuttlebug folder.  I've had it for over a year and couldn't come up with a good use for it!

The hearts are a SU stamp and punch.  The thinner font is my favorite of the two I used.

This would make a good wedding card too!
