 More cards to send overseas to military personnel this Christmas season.

Bird On Wreath Card

This card was based on one seen on a Stampin' Up demonstrator's blog.  She made the wreath using jute cord formed into a circle.  My version uses circles cut from kraft paper using my Cameo and MTC software.

The bird and branches were done with the Bird Builder punch, the sentiment was printed on my PC and then mounted with the Word Window and Modern Label punches.

The background was scored using Martha Stewart's scorboard.  It's a 4 x 5 1/4" rectangle scored at 1/2", 1 1/2", 2 1/2" and 3 1/2".

Black and White Bird Card

I saw this card, done by a Stampin' Up demonstrator from the UK, on Pinterest.  This would qualify as a 30 Minute Card since all you need is a heart punch and Bird Builder punch.  I added the embossed lines using a Martha Stewart scoreboard.

By changing the sentiment, this card can be used for a variety of occasions.

Bird Cage Card

The large priority mail box for Operation Write Home is just about full.  I've been concentrating on doing cards for Father's Day since the cut off date for those is April 30th.  But, making the same theme card after card gets boring to me.  Today I went online and searched my Pinterest boards of card ideas and saw one similar to this layout.  It's a nice, spring looking card so I made eight of them.

The narrow pink strip was embossed.  The birdcage is from the Sophie cartridge.  I punched the bird and branches with a Stampin' Up punch and embossed the bird's body.  The sentiment was stamped and punched with their modern label punch then I created a shadow for it using images from their software and cut those with Make The Cut.  The border was done with a Martha Stewart punch.

Blue Bird Card

The sentiment square was done using Excel; the bird is a Stampin' Up punch.  The background paper is silver metallic and black, the trim strip is white with silver metallic lines.

30 Minute Card

Inspired by a card seen online, the sentiment was stamped onto white cardstock and then  I embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder, then used a Stampin' Up bird and heart punch for the embellishments.

Bird in a Frame Card

Debbie Henderson, a Stampin' Up demonstrator, designed this card.  She used only SU punches to make the bird and frame.  Although I own the punches she used, I wanted the frame slightly larger so I used my Expression.

Her instructions are to use a 1" square punch, then once you punch that, you center the 1" opening inside the 1 1/4" punch and punch out the frame.  Use the 1 1/2" scalloped square punch for the base.

I used Mini Monograms and adjusted the scalloped square to 1 5/8" in Design Studio.  Using George, I then placed 1 3/8" squares on my mat and centered a 1" square in the center, welded them, and cut out the frames.

The frame is applied with narrow strips of adhesive foam and the wing was pop dotted onto the bird's body.  I made several of these since they're so cute and fast to do.  They'll be great for Operation Write Home.

Chickadee from Stampin' Up Bird Punch

Ann Fitzgerald has several examples of different ways to use the Stampin' Up Bird Punch on her blog.  This punch is great for making multiple cards.  I use it with patterned paper or colored cardstock that I ink to change the appearance of the bird.

The extra wing shape on the bird was done with a Stampin' Up Blossom Petals Punch.

The branches are from the Art Philosophy cartridge.

I saw this card with the instructions at Ann's Creative Moments.   Stampin' Up demonstrators can surely come up with some neat ways to use their punches!  She has some simple to follow instructions and hints on making this; once you read through them and look at the photos, you'll see that it's not difficult at all to assemble.

Bird Punch Card

Thanks to KittyKraft for posting a card like this on her blog.  Hers is done in red and has more of a Christmas feel to it.  Since I'm finished with making Christmas cards, I used blue so it will work for an anytime card.

The bird, small flowers and the scalloped circle are all made with SU punches.  The border and the branches are Martha Stewart punches.

SU Punch Card

Both the heart and the bird were done with Stampin' Up punches.  I added some Pearl Pen accents. a Prima Flower and some pen stitching.  Very fast and simple!

Special Order Card

My neighbor, Kay has an aunt who is having her 104th birthday in a couple of weeks.  Kay asked if I would make a special card for her, and I agreed.  Then, when I asked some questions about her aunt, what she enjoys doing, etc.  I'm told that she's an artist!  Talk about being intimidated!  LOL!

I emailed Kay some photos of cards I'd done and she like the birdhouse card the best.  I didn't intend to post this one on here because the smaller version was shown a few days ago.  Instead of making my usual A2 size card, this one is a 5 x 7.  The smaller size just didn't seem special enough for someone who's turning 104!

It's pretty much the same as the smaller version.  I used my Cuttlebug, SU bird and bitty punches for the images and did some inking.  The inside sentiment is printed on vellum and has a branch and flower across the top.

Bluebird Card

Although I find that the SU multiple punches make a huge mess every time I use them, I got my bird punch out this afternoon after I saw a card made by Sheryl Dickinson at Splitcoast Stampers.

I also used a SU border punch, some Liquid Pearls, Chestnut Roan ink, and a Signo pen to add details.

Bird House Card

The bird house is from Cindy Loo.  I punched the bird and the branch with a SU punch.
