Bird On Wreath Card

This card was based on one seen on a Stampin' Up demonstrator's blog.  She made the wreath using jute cord formed into a circle.  My version uses circles cut from kraft paper using my Cameo and MTC software.

The bird and branches were done with the Bird Builder punch, the sentiment was printed on my PC and then mounted with the Word Window and Modern Label punches.

The background was scored using Martha Stewart's scorboard.  It's a 4 x 5 1/4" rectangle scored at 1/2", 1 1/2", 2 1/2" and 3 1/2".

Summer Wreath

There is a Facebook page dedicated to crafts made with items from the Dollar Tree.  Wreaths like these have been popular for the last few weeks.

Mesh wreaths are all the rage nowadays for home decor.  The mesh is expensive and the wreaths turn out really large.

I wanted a summer themed wreath for the door leading into the kitchen from the garage.  No one (that we know well) uses our front door, they all walk through the garage and right into the kitchen so this is what they'll see now.

The supplies you see all came from the Dollar Tree.  I found a package of yellow butterflies, pink polka dot wire edged ribbon, pink and yellow flowers and chose three colors of bath scrubbies for the netting. 

To apply the bath scrubbies, slice an opening in the styrofoam wreath form then clip the thread in the center of the scrubbies.  You'll have a long mesh tube that slides right over the styrofoam form.  Gather it to your liking and then hot glue the wreath together. 

Tea Wreath

Another project I found through Pinterest.  The blog with really good photos and instructions is KOJODESIGNS

This blog has a lot of cute, quick, easy to do ideas on it.

I followed her instructions with the exception of using only 16 clothespins instead of 24.  The only suggestion I have is to be sure that you like the colors of the tea bag wrappers!  The nice tea assortment I picked up at Bed Bath and Beyond had great colors but I discovered the tea bags were not individually wrapped when I opened the packages..  It would have looked better had I not used teas with so much black on the wrappers.

This would be a great gift for someone who loves tea.  They could even hang it on the wall in their office and have a nice selection of teas.  Then it can be refilled with teas of their choice.  Hot chocolate packets would also fit onto the clothespins! Or even, the snack sized bags of microwave popcorn.  Then the wreath could be hung in the break room area at work and have the goodies handy for an afternoon treat.
