Owl Bookmark

 Stampin' Up Owl Builder punch and scalloped circle punches were used on this bookmark.

Diamond Bookmark

 The facets on the diamond and the base for the wording were cut from silver metallic paper.

Brown Flowers

I've set up several files in Make The Cut for bookmark bases to provide just a little variety of shapes.

This one uses some Stampin' Up flower stamps and a background stamp.

Full Moon Halloween Card

 A Stampin' Up Owl Builder, 1 3/4" circle and 1 3/4" scalloped circle punches were used to make the bat.

I found the full moon image online, resized it and punched it with a 2 1/1" circle punch.

Not sure if I like the vertical or the horizontal layout best.

My Version of a "Spectacular" Card

This was such a cute idea when I saw it on Pinterest that I had to do my version of  The Spotted Chick's card.

I used MTC to cut the eyeglasses and the bow tie from the Billionaire cartridge.   After an unsuccessful search for a package of googly eyes in my craft room I decided to just use the owl eye circles on SU's Owl Builder punch.  Then I added white highlights with a gel pen.

The bow tie is pop dotted; the sentiment was printed on my computer.  The eyebrows and mouth were drawn by hand with a Stampin' Up marker.

Owls With Harvest Moon

I'm seeing a pattern here this week.  Seems as if owls have been really catching my eye for fall themed cards.

For this card, the fence is an SVG cut, the moon is a 3 1/2" circle, the owls are Stampin' Up owl builder punch, the hearts are a Martha Stewart punch.  The sentiment was computer printed using Hallmark Card Studio software.

Full Moon and Owls Card

This is an oldie but a goodie.  While looking through my files for ideas I ran across one similar that I made a long time ago.

The moon is a 3 1/2" circle, the owls, a Stampin' Up punch and the branch is a die that I trimmed to fit. The hearts were done with a Martha Stewart punch and I added some white pen work on the outer edge.

There is no sentiment on the front so it can be used for a "love you" or anniversary card.

Birds Of A Feather Card

This one is quite a composite! The original idea is from a catalog.  Of course I saw it and didn't have any of the supplies used.

I found the feathers in Hallmark Card Studio and used Neobulletin Beveled font to print the sentiment.

Now that Stampin' Up has made their punch shapes available to download, I'm using them much more on my cards.  Importing them into Make The Cut to manipulate is super easy.  Not being limited to a single size is a great advantage.  Plus, you can split the pieces that you want to cut, unlike the punch where you wind up with a total mess on your table with all the little pieces that punch all at once.

The hearts are done with a Martha Stewart punch.  I added some pen stitching with a Stampin' Up marker.

Owl Punch Card

This card was shown by a Stampin' Up demo named Krista Oldham.  Chocolate Chip cardstock was used for the background; the bamboo printed paper is some I had on hand; the branches and owls were done with SU punches and the sentiment is from a set of SU stamps.

The holes the owls are peeking out of were done with an 1 1/4" round punch and the sentiment was punched with the Word Window punch.

These little owls are cute but sure have a lot of tiny pieces to assemble.  But, I think the finished product was worth the extra work.  I'm doing a dozen of these cards so I've got owls everywhere on my table top!

Owl Card by Renee Wayland

She had posted it on Facebook so I sent her a comment and told her I'd be scraplifting it for sure since I had the same paper she'd used.  Of course, when I looked for the owl printed paper, it's nowhere to be found! 

So, I took her concept and used my SU owl punch to make my interpretation of her card.

The brown ric-rack shape that I used for the branch was done with a SU scalloped edge punch using a technique I saw on Youtube.  It's super simple to do, once you get the hang of it!

I'm getting "punchy"!

So I get a new toy/tool and I feel like I have to use it, use it, use it.  I'm getting punchy from using this little owl!

Underneath the MS branch punch pieces there's a little swirl shaped stamp from SU for the branch.  The tiny hearts are part of the Two Step Owl punch from SU.

The MS branch punch pieces are hard to adhere using glue so I'm really glad that I won a Xyron at stamp club last December!

The owl is stamped with Melon Mambo.  I used the same color for the hearts and the doodledots around the outer edge of the card.

Owl Punch Card

This little owl is part of the Punch Bunch set from SU.  I computer printed the sentiment and cut the "U" with Plantin Schoolbook.   There's a white border done with a Fiskar's border punch under the blue rectangle.  I added some tiny dots with a SU marker onto the white card base.  The paper and ink used on this card is all Ballet Blue from SU.
