My Version of a "Spectacular" Card

This was such a cute idea when I saw it on Pinterest that I had to do my version of  The Spotted Chick's card.

I used MTC to cut the eyeglasses and the bow tie from the Billionaire cartridge.   After an unsuccessful search for a package of googly eyes in my craft room I decided to just use the owl eye circles on SU's Owl Builder punch.  Then I added white highlights with a gel pen.

The bow tie is pop dotted; the sentiment was printed on my computer.  The eyebrows and mouth were drawn by hand with a Stampin' Up marker.

Eyeglasses Birthday Card

Another card with eyeglasses.  This one was seen on Pinterest.
The base was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.

Totally C.A.S.E.D. Card

This was seen online.  Since it's such a super simple layout, I knew it would be fast to make multiples for OWH and I C.A.S.E.D. it!

Google provided the eye glass frame clip art.  It was traced and cut in Make The Cut.  The hearts are a built in shape in that software.

The sentiment was printed with Hallmark Card Studio and I added some pen stitching around the outer edge.  The faux screws on the glasses were made with a white gel pen.

Retro Eyeglasses Card

Anyone remember the "cat eye" glasses from the 50's?

This idea was seen today on Facebook.  Here's a link to the original image.   The eyeglasses on the orginal were cut using a Silhouette machine, but I think the ones I used from the Paisley cartridge work quite well.

The mat was cut from the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge.  I printed the sentiment and then fed it into a Stampin' Up punch from the back side to shape the ends and added a little ink.  The two black dots in the corner were done with a Pearl Pen.

Unfortunately, the gems on the corners of the glasses frame look dull in the photo; they're actually quite sparkly.
