The Ultimate Gun Lover's Card--30 Minute Card

This is definitely not my original idea.  I saw it on Pinterest and tracked it back to a Mike's Hard Lemonade blog.  Whoever made the original actually made the bullet holes with a .22 rifle.  I took a short cut since it would take too long to (1.) get a rifle out of the gun safe and (2.) drive down to the range to shoot four card fronts.  My "bullet holes" were done with a pencil and shaded a little using a Q-tip and ink to simulate gun powder.

It's one of those super fast, silly cards and would be perfect for a gun lover!

Clock Face Card

Saw this card on Pinterest and totally copied it.  The clock hands were cut on my Cameo.  I printed the sentiment and the numbers using Hallmark Card Maker software and just added some pen work around the outer edge.

Valentines? Already??

Yep, we haven't even had our Thanksgiving turkey and I'm making Valentine cards for Operation Write Home!  They have to be received at their headquarters by December 31st to allow time to get them shipped overseas so I have to get busy! 

I haven't made any cards since early October.  All my time has been spent getting things made for a craft show coming up on December 14th in Ada. 

This cute card was seen on Pinterest and I back tracked to the original maker.  You can find it on Califormia Scrappin'.  It caught my eye because of the patriotic colors. 

I used Hallmark card software to print the words and the linked hearts on white cardstock.  Then I cut the red, white, and blue hearts with my Cameo.

Miss You Card

Inspired by a card seen on Pinterest

The navy blue background was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.  I cut the swirl from the CTMH Artiste cartridge and used the negative cutout on this card.  The sentiment was printed on my computer; I used a 1.25" square punch to make the flag ends on the banner.  The yellow dots were done with a Pearl Pen.

Puzzle Pieces Card

This card was seen on Pinterest and I tracked it back to Clips-n-cuts.   I used a puzzle piece from a really old Cricut cartridge, My Community, and Make the Cut software to make mine using my Expression.  But, there's a free SVG file on Clips-n-cuts for anyone that isn't using a Cricut to do their cuts.

Miss You Card

The images were stamped onto printed cardstock with Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  I punched out the clock faces and pop dotted them onto the card front for dimension.  I tore around the outside edge of the larger image and inked the torn edges.

The Tim Holtz washi tape was tinted with his line of distressing inks to blend in on the card front.

The inside sentiment says " Miss you all the time."

Tim Holtz Grungy Paper

The papers that Tim Holtz designs are some of my favorites.  The dark colors and interesting objects he chooses always cause me to want to buy those stacks.

The background papers came from an old stack (not TH) and the punched rectangles are from his Lost and Found stack.  I went online to find the old postcard image, imported it into my cardmaker software to re-size and print, and used Plantin Schoolbook cartridge to cut the "U".  The edges were all inked and some baker's twine was tied around the rectangle.

I made a total of six of these layouts, two with the dark green background, two with antiqued orange and a dark red.

I really am very happy with the way this card turned out!  It was inspired by one I saw in Card magazine.

Stamp Club Cards

I sure didn't get much done at Stamp Club last night! LOL!  Three of the ladies surprised us all with a decorated cello bag full of chocolates as a Christmas gift and then we played a game and everyone got a prize.

My package contained a 1.5" Xyron create-a-sticker and a refill for it!  I've wanted to get one of these several times and always talk myself out of it!  Now, when I'm doing my cards and have those tiny pieces to adhere I can use the Xyron.

The game we played was fun.  There was a wrapped package handed to each of us and we were told to start passing them to the person next to us on our right side.  As Sue read a story to us, each time she said the word "left" or "right" we changed the direction.  At the end of the story, you kept whatever package you had in your hand.

It cause some laughs when Okie wound up with two packages at the end of the game!  She wasn't being greedy,  it was that we'd had two switches back to back and the person passing to her got a little confused.  I think she wound up tossing one of her packages across to Carol, who was empty handed.

When Okie opened her package, it was fate.  Inside were sheets of LADYBUG stickers!  LOL!

I had pre-cut some card elements and stamped some images at home yesterday afternoon to take to club since I tend to get distracted and not accomplish anything at all.  Here's one of the five cards I got completed.

The reason I did this particular card is that I have a lot of this awful bright yellow paper to use up.  I'd seen this color combination online and decided it was time to finally do something with this paper.  The background was run through the Cuttlebug, I used George to cut the squares and the stamp is from a retired SU set called Steppin' Style.  The image was colored with Promarkers.  I cut a slit in the card fold and threaded a ribbon through it for the bow.  The inside of the card will be left blank since it's going to Cards For Soldiers.
