Grunge Card

I was inspired by Gwen Edelman's card using Stampin' Up's Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to make this one.  I've wanted that stamp set ever since it was shown in the catalog and have never gotten around to ordering it.

This morning, I went through my stamp catalog and selected multiple "grunge" images to create my version.  I added some straight lines with a Stampin' Up marker over the stamped images.  The oval was punched with a 1 3/8 x 2" punch.

The butterfly is from the Papillon Potpourri set, punched with the Bitty Butterfly punch.  The sentiment is from Whimsical Words stamp set. I used Memento Tuxedo Black, Lady Bug red, Bamboo Leaves green, and Dandelion yellow inks.

Rose Wreath Card

I'm particularly pleased with the way this turned out.  I used Make The Cut software to cut a 2.2218 x 2.0312 inch oval from white card stock and then embossed it with a Stampin' Up folder.  A pink shadow layer was added.

The rose wreath stamp is from an old set of Stampin' Up stamps.  It was colored with Pale Pink and Meadow Green Promarkers.

The small pink flowers were done with a Bitty Punch, the greenery is a Martha Stewart  branch punch; the flower centers are Pearl Pen dots.

The card base was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.  The layered ovals are pop dotted for dimension.  The bow is done with Baby Pink ribbon.

Fall Themed Card

My card was inspired by Georgeann Manning and seen on Pinterest.  I used the large oval Stampin' Up punch for the pumpkin and inked the edges of each oval for dimension.  The flower is from their Boho Blossom punch; the greenery is an EK Success punch.  Palotino Linotype font was used for the lettering.  I created a shadow layer with Make The Cut software.

It's a cute card, but it has 25 pieces!

Embossed Oval Card

Have you noticed the new watermark on my photos?  Shirley, aka Okieladybug, Thompson designed it for me.  I've been using one she did for me several years ago and asked if she'd make one that was a little more opaque.  She had just designed one for another friend and it was just what I needed for my photos.  Of course, she had to give me a hard time about making it!

It's nice to have the option of using a white watermark on solid color backgrounds.

I embossed the oval with a Sizzix folder and punched the center with a Stampin' Up punch.  The upper half was done with a Swiss Dots embossing folder.

The Island Indigo ribbon and cardstock were given to me by Robin Goens, my Stampin' Up demonstrator.  She sends me items she has on hand for my Operation Write Home cards and I greatly appreciate the items she sends!

 

I punched a mask out of notebook paper and stamped the bird image inside the card using Bermuda Bay ink.

Embossed Oval Card

I used my Cricut and George cartridge to cut an oval from white cardstock that fit into the embossing folder.  The interior oval matches the large oval punch from Stampin' Up so I used it to do a "fussy cut" for the center.

I lightly inked the edges of the oval as well as the sentiment banner.

30 Minute Card for Halloween

It's such a cute and fast Halloween card since all you need is some punches.  The eyes are a Stampin Up oval and two smaller circles.  I printed the sentiment and used a tag corner punch on the orange paper.  I added some dots on the black background and orange mat with a Sharpie marker and used a white gel pen for the dots in the corners.

I saw this card on Pinterest and tracked it back to  Holly at Ink Paper Stamps..
