Three Squares Butterfly Card

I saw this card on Pinterest and tracked it back to a blogger named Biggan.  Her blog is in a foreign language and I was unable to find her real name.  If you'd like to visit, here's a link:   Three Squares Card.

The butterfly within the square was cut using George and Elegant Edges.  Then I cut just the butterfly from the orange patterned paper.  The sentiment is from Close to My Heart, stamped with Memento Tangelo ink.

I embossed a border on the card front using my Scor-Pal.

Punched Butterfly Card

The card front was embossed with my Scor-Pal.  I used a Martha Stewart punch for the butterflies and added some Liquid Pearls on the bottom.   Papers are from Stampin' Up.     Very spring-like!

Masculine Birthday Card

In the Tim Holtz Lost and Found stack that I picked up at HL on Saturday there was a sheet of grungy looking calendar pages.  After studying them for some time trying to decide how I could use something that big on an A2 card I decided they'd make great masculine birthday cards.

I just cut off the names of the months, matted them with black and put them onto the center of the card above the computer generated sentiment.

There are score lines above and below the calendar page done with my Scor-Pal.  They don't show up too well in the photo.

Added a ribbon and textured button and I think this makes a pretty masculine looking card!

Scor-Pal card

While looking around on Splitcoast Stampers I found a card using a Scor-Pal done by "racing girl".  It was such a cute, simple layout that I knew it would be one I'd like to do.  Her card used a floral image but I didn't have one that was small enough to stamp four times across the width of an A2 card.

I used Martha Stewart inks, Scor-Pal for the embossed lines and some stamps I had on hand.  The little swirl beside the sentiment was done with a SU orchid opulence marker.

The image I used is approximately 1" in diameter.  To keep the images centered I measured across the width of the card and made tiny pencil marks at 1 3/8", 2 3/4" and 4 1/4".

The lines were embossed, measuring from the folded edge of the card at 2 1/4" and 3 1/2".

I stamped the green image onto the card base and then onto a scrap of white cardstock, cut it out and pop dotted it onto the card.

This is a layout I'm sure I'll use over and over again.  I can see cupcakes and Happy Birthday, a little Studio G dog stamp and some dog bones, etc, etc.  It's a very versatile card that can be adapted to just about any occasion.
