Stacked Hearts Card

Last fall I saw a card with these ticket stamps on it and some layered hearts.  The stamp is from Close to My Heart and it coordinates with a Cricut cartridge.  Rather than mess with using my Expression, since I'm so accustomed to my Cameo now, I just cut them out by hand.

The hearts were sized and cut with my Cameo and Make The Cut software.  The tiny heart was punched.  The concho is a clip art image.

I pop dotted the hearts and concho for dimension.

Scalloped Punch Birthday Card

Inspired by a card seen in the latest Close To My Heart catalog, which featured their version of the birthday sentiment stamp.

Nowadays, I'm doing the majority of my sentiments on my computer.  It saves me tons of money and I don't have to find room to store another sentiment stamp.  Another great benefit to going digital is that you can print the images any size you want.

There were three EK Sucess punches used: 1 3/4" and 2" scallop and 2 1/2" circle to create the base for the sentiment.  The largest scalloped shape was cut with Make The Cut software and my Cameo.

The card I based mine on had a white background.  Once I finished this one, I thought the white was too stark.  I added some pen work to break up the white area but still wasn't satisfied.

I'm glad I was working on these at stamp club where I had the LSS, Scraptopia, to shop in!  I picked up some sheets of light blue cardstock for the base and like the cards much better.

The large white brads are from the last Stampin' Up clearance sale.  All the papers I used are from Authentique.

CTMH Christmas Card

I used the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge and the coordinating stamp sets for the sentiment and the shape it's on.  The holly leaves are from A Child's Year; the snowflakes are from Lacey Labels.  I utilized Design Studio to resize the holly and to select the snowflakes I wanted to cut.

The veins on the leaves are highlighted with a Promarker and I added some Inka-gold Paint and Chestnut Roan ink to the edges.  The holly berries are done with red Stickles.

The snowflakes were cut from white cardstock and then painted gold with Inka-gold Paint.  I added some gold Pearl Pen accents to the snowflakes.

Snowflake Card

This card could be used for Christmas, a winter birthday or just as a note card.  The snowflake squares came from a Paper Studio Christmas stack from last year.  I added some hot fix gold circles, metallic ribbon and a sentiment from a CTMH stamp set.  You can't see how shiny the gold items are in this photo and the snowflake squares look rather grey, they actually match the background paper quite well.

I'm very pleased with the way this one turned out!

I'm really impressed by the quality of the CTMH sentiment stamps.  They stamp such crisp, clean lines!
