Playing With Inchie Stamps

Today it was 108.7° at our house.  I've HAD it with this stupid heat and being trapped indoors.  Mother Nature has held me hostage for long enough!  I got in the car and headed to Shawnee thinking I'd shop in the air conditioned mall for a while.  Not that I need or even want anything in particular, I'm just going stir crazy! LOL!

I never did make it to the mall.  Went to a couple of other places and then decided to go to Big Lots.  (Don't tell Shirley, aka Okieladybug!)  They had a lot of stamp sets for only $2.  I picked out at least 10 sets and then talked myself out of buying all but one set of "inchies".

This set isn't one I'd have usually picked up, but, they were so cheap I got them anyway.  Now, I'm wishing I'd kept the alphabet and travel sets too!

These didn't turn out as cute as I thought they would.  I'm going to have to study these images for a couple of days and see if I can come up with something that looks a little better.  I guess I should finally order some more SU stamp pads.  I don't have a good, true red and that's really what I had in mind to use.

I like the cards myself...I think you maybe needed a couple brads, stickles OR even ribbon..Just a little something to make it bling ever so slightly. BUt then again I am seeing it on here and not in person. I know in person always looks better than online.
I got a stamp set at our Big Lots today..It was Spring/Easter but I am learning my new Copics and I want to practice on some Easter cards.
I would say just play with them until you are satisfied but I think they are great cards!

That's way too hot for anything! Hope you guys get some cooling rain soon. Forgive my ignorance, but are 'inchies' just small one inch stamps? I've heard the term but never knew what they meant. I just might have to make a trip to my local Big Lots..haven't been there for awhile and Lord knows I need more stuff, lol.

Love those stamps Linda! It's pretty bad when the heat holds you hostage, but I like your thinking to go shopping! LOL I think your cards are cute, but I like the idea of the red ink too!

Vicky--I know! They're just too plain but I threw them together pretty quickly just playing with the stamps. I'll check out my stash and see what I can add to jazz them up. Thanks for the comment!

Cindyrella--yes, an inchie is a 1" square stamp.
