Just making cards this afternoon...

The newest Stampin' Up catalog arrived today which is always good news.  The bad news is you can't order from it yet!  There is always something in it that I want to make NOW!  lol!  So I used my Cameo and some stamps to make my version of their project.

The sunglasses are from Forever Young cartridge.  I used a Peachy Keen stamp for the sun's face and added some ink on the cheeks.  The sentiment was printed in Hallmark Card Making software.

I saw a card similar to this online and dug out some stamps I've owned for several years to make this one.  The flower is inked with Rhubarb Stalk and I colored the leaves with a Promarker.

Sunburst Card

Scrolling through a Facebook page devoted to using Silhouette machines, I saw a link to Bird's Cards blog.  It's a place you can go to find some unique and free files to cut with your die cutting machine.  This is my version of her sunburst card front.

I did a little resizing of the images using Make The Cut software and cut them on my Cameo.  I hand cut the tag with the printed sentiment.

The base and the tag for the card are a pale yellow; the lighting makes the tag look as if it's beige. The card cover is yellow metallic cardstock.  I pop dotted the card cover for dimension.

Sunshine Card

The umbrella is a piece of free clip art that I imported and cut in Make The Cut software.  The flower is made from layers of scalloped circles punched from an old book page.
