Fast and Easy Scrap Card
This is a cute way to use up some of the 1" strips you may have left over from another project. I've done this layout before and used eyelets to attach the strips onto the base.

Thirty Eight Cards
Last night I was looking at my paper supply and ran across a large stack of card blanks that I'd purchased at the stamp club garage sale over a year ago.
When making cards, I tend to use white cardstock and then add a piece of colored paper or cardstock to the front but since I'd had these around for so long it was time to use them up.
I sorted them by color and then, going through my scraps, found papers to use on the fronts. I cut 4 x 8" pieces of white paper and put that inside for an area to write on.
Most of the sentiments also came from my scrap stash. Since so many of the sentiments I use are computer printed, I do an entire sheet full of them. Then I put any leftovers in a scrap folder in case I need one in a hurry.
So, today, not only did I get to finally use up some of the scraps I had accumulated, I got thirty eight cards done! None of them are very elaborate but I like them all!

Scrap paper card
Just plain cardstock I ran through the Cuttlebug and scraps of green paper with a few doodledots, wedding flowers from Michael's that I added some SU ink to, pearls I bought at Arlington last summer, Justrite stamped sentiment that I pop dotted, added a bow and I was finished.
This one is made with scraps leftover from the Mirabelle cards I did yesterday.

Scrap Card
This card is a good one to use up scrap strips left over from other project. The strips are attached with eyelets. The sentiment was computer printed.
I have learned that I do NOT like to set eyelets.
I bought a set of Fiskars spring loaded eyelet setters and they work pretty well. But they're noisy and if I use them to set multiple eyelets, the impact and vibration of the tool bothers my hands.
The Crop-o-dile is difficult to select the correct size for the eyelets and often crushes them rather than spreading the back rim properly.
The best eyelets I've found to use came from
Eyelet Outlet. They're called "Quicklets" and you don't need a setter to use them! You just make a hole, insert your eyelet, flip it over to the back side and insert the tip of a ball point pen. Then you press down and pivot the pen to flare out the flange on the back of the eyelet.
No more banging around with a setter and you won't ruin the eyelet by using too much pressure either!
Here's a link if you want to check them out. http://www.eyeletoutlet.com/ They offer free shipping on orders over $50 and be sure to check out their clearance items too.
If you like to incorporate shaped brads onto your projects they have a large selection to choose from too.
