Custom Order Birthday Card

This easel card was done by request for a local motorcycle enthusiast's 40th birthday.  I was sent a photo of his Harley Davidson motorcycle and given free reign to create a special card.  The only request I got was to include "Enjoy the ride" somewhere on the card.

The Harley Davidson emblem has orange, black and white on it.  I chose to use these colors for the card also.

This photo shows the entire inside of the card.

He can keep the easel card on his desk to display the photo of his bike without it being obvious that it's a birthday card.

Another Cute Easy Card from Dawn Griffith

When I saw her video this morning I had to make one of these quickly before I forgot about it!  LOL!  She has a good instructional video, with complete instructions on how to do this card.

I grabbed some white cardstock and some orange paper that I never use for anything since this is my pattern to put in my file.  Orange isn't one of my favorite colors to work with.  The area for the stamped image is pretty narrow so, again, I just grabbed the first stamp I found in my JetMax storage that would fit onto the space.

It's an A2 sized card after it's folded.  There are only two cuts and then you just do some score lines for the folds to make the image stand up.  Super simple, once you make one and can see how it all goes together.

I'm thinking maybe I need to do some of these with Cooper's picture on them for birth announcements for family and friends.

Easel Birthday Card

A Child's Year has this sentiment on it.  I cut it out at  2 5/8" to fit onto an A2 sized card and added some dots onto the letters with some old Martha Stewart markers I ran across the other day when I was re-arranging some things.   I don't like these markers because they take longer to dry than Stickles! LOL!

The paper is from Paper Studio Birthday Extravaganza stack from Hobby Lobby and I think the brads I used were picked up at the Dollar Tree.  The sentiment stamp is from SU.

I've often wondered, when making an easel card, if the recipient will know how to display it.  There's a good printable diagram showing how it's supposed to work available online.  The link I found to it is on the Splitcoast Stampers website or you can access it here:

I printed the diagram out and am including one inside each of the cards.
