10 Cards in 20 Minutes

While searching for card inspiration today on Pinterest, I ran across a video done by Brandy Cox.  She's a Stampin' Up demonstrator.  In her video, she explains how you can complete 10 really nice cards in just 20 minutes by using punches and an assembly line technique.

There are so many things I like about this card!

1.  Cutting the card size down to 8" x 5 1/4" and then mounting it onto a piece of   5 1/2" x 4 1/4" black  cardstock.

2.  Punching small portions of a large doily design

3.  Inking narrow strips of cardstock so they look like ribbon

4.  Preparing all the elements for the card beforehand, then just assembling them cuts down on the time it takes to complete them.

I'd never have thought of making the card itself smaller and mounting it onto a solid piece of cardstock.  I really like the way it looks.  Of course, I didn't have all the punches that she used in her video.  So, I used comparable ones that I had on hand and added some pen dots on the black portion of the layers.  Guess I'll be getting a couple more graduated scalloped circle punches in the near future!
