30 Minute Birthday Cards

 A simple clip art image colored with Promarkers and some punched shapes will make quite a few cute, simple birthday cards in no time at all.

These were inspired by a stamp set seen in a catalog.

I used hemp cord rather than ribbon for the bows.

Make A Wish

The candles were cut with my Cameo.  I printed the sentiment then punched it with a Stampin' Up Decorative Label punch.  Since the punches are available in digital format too, I cut the shadow with Make The Cut software.  The background was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.

Make A Wish Card

Inspired by a card seen on Pinterest, I modified the card and added a faux candle cut from a piece of paper straw.  The straw was cut down the back side so the wick could be glued down.

For the card I cut a 4 x 5 1/4" rectangle of solid pink, a 3 x 4 1/4" scalloped rectangle, and a 2 1/4 x 3 1/2" dotted rectangle using Make The Cut software.

Popping By Card

Inspired by a card seen online, I used an image from the cartridge County Fair and printed the sentiment.  Then I added some pen work and a couple of candies for some detail.

30 Minute Birthday Card

At the swarm last Saturday, Carrie Elmore suggested that we have a "grab box" of items we no longer wanted or use.  One of the items she put in the box, and up for grabs, was some paper straws.

The straws make perfect birthday candles!  I cut the straws into shorter pieces, then ran them through the Cuttlebug to flatten them.  These cards are for Operation Write Home and they have to pass through the post office machinery so they had to be flattened.

The sentiment is from a set of CTMH stamps and I used a Stampin' Up punch.
