Strawberries Card

I resized a digital image of Stampin' Up's decorative label punch and cut it on my Cameo.  The sentiment is a stamp I've had for a long time.  I stamped the strawberries, colored them with Promarkers and pop dotted one for dimention.

The strawberry is from the Sweet Shop cartridge, cut with Make the Cut and my Cameo.  The sentiment was computer printed.

Up until two years ago, I'd never buy two sided paper.  It seemed like such a waste to only be able to use one side, and I could never decide which side to use.  I've moved past that now and two sided paper is what I look for whenever I visit a scrapbook store.  The background of this card is two sided paper by Bo Bunny.  I cut a 3" strip for the upper portion and a 1" strip for the bottom and turned that strip over to use the other print.

You Make Life Sweet

It's Memorial Day and we are keeping Cooper, our 22 month old grandson.  He's finally down for his afternoon nap and I ducked back here to make some cards.  It's almost the end of the month and my box for Operation Write Home isn't full yet!  Where did May go?

I saw a card with some strawberries and this sentiment and decided that it would be a great card for OWH.

The strawberries are from Sweet Shop and the gridwork is from Hannah Montana. They were resized and cut with Make the Cut on my Cameo.  The sentiment was printed on my computer.

The strawberries are pop dotted for dimension and I added some inking and pen work to break up the large white background.

Three Strawberries Card

Well this simple looking little card certainly took a lot longer to make than I had thought it would.

First, I attempted to find a suitable strawberry shape on a Cricut cartridge thinking I'd just trace it in Make the Cut.  After about thirty minutes of searching through images in Design Studio, I gave up and logged onto the Silhouette store to search there.

The strawberry I used is a Silhouette image, purchased from their store, opened in Silhouette Studio software then imported and traced in Make the Cut software.  Make the Cut is so much easier for me to use when I need to manipulate an image!

I split the image into layers, copied the berry portion and welded it to make the shadow.  Then I resized the images to fit onto an A2 card front.

The faces are Peachy Keen stamps.  The sentiment was computer printed.  I added a twine bow, flowers and baby buttons along with some pen work.
