Kissing Mickey and Minnie
We have our 2 year old grandson for a few days so there hasn't been any card making happening around here. When we have Cooper, it's Cooper time! He lives so far away that we don't get to see him nearly as often as we'd like so when he's here I spend every minute I can with him.
After putting him to bed this evening, I found this cute image online, traced it and made some quick, cute cards.

Mickey and Minnie Mouse Cards
Today at Michael's I found a sheet of paper printed with Disney characters in 1 3/4" squares. I cut them apart and these are two of the cards I made this evening.
The heart and star images are from Mickey and Friends cartridge. The names are from Mickey Font. I traced them in Make The Cut software and cut them out with my Cameo.

Mickey Card
Using the George cartridge, I cut a cream background to fit the card front with a circle cut out. Then I layered two circles and welded them to make the red border.
The image was stamped and colored with Promarkers then placed behind the circular opening. Honestly, I could just as easily stamped the image onto a circle cutout and adhered it to the cream background and gotten the same look!

Mickey Mouse Card
The Mickey image is from Mickey and Friends cartridge. He's standing with his hands behind his back and I wanted him to hold a sign so I cut the hands off the M&F cartridge and adhered the sign to the hands. Then I pop dotted the sign to add some dimension.
Mickey was cut at 4 3/4" and the hands were cut at 1". I used Design Studio to flip the hand image and make a left hand.

Mickey BirthdayCard
I'm on a mission! To use up some of this ton of paper that's in my craft room! Otherwise, I won't have any room to buy any more and I just saw the latest Graphic 45 designs. They're on my "must have" list but, honestly, there's no room in my cubes for any new stuff!
For the next couple of days I'm going to be concentrating on making some simple, quick cards to help deplete my "resource center". LOL!

Bargain Stamps from Hobby Lobby and Michael's
Since 3M has decided to change the tips on their Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive bottles, I decided to drive to Oklahoma City yesterday morning, go to Hobby Lobby and Michael's to search for the old style bottles.
That's the good thing about being retired...you can make these spur of the minute decisions to blow the entire day shopping and never miss a deadline! LOL!
I was able to find some of the old style bottles at Michael's and headed over to Hobby Lobby with my 50% off coupon in hand. Why is it whenever you have a good coupon that everything you'd spend the coupon for is already on sale? I did find this set of stamps on clearance and picked them up.
I made this card today to use up some paper scraps, twine and to play with the new stamps.
These were my bargains from Michael's. Don't know yet what I'll use the "legs" stamp for but I had to buy that set because of the shoes..
The paper pack is probably one that's been out for a while. It has some good pages of birdhouses and birds so it will be good for my spring and summer cards. I figured I could use the stamps with the birdcage with some of the paper from this stack too.
