Punched Flower Card

I embossed the white background, then punched out flower shapes and backed the openings with brightly colored cardstock.  The embossed background was then pop dotted off the card base for dimension.

Punched Flowers

These are made from Stampin' Up cardstock.  The flower was punched with an 1.75" scallop circle punch, the petals were clipped and then shaped and I brushed them with gold Inka-Gold Paint.  The flower center is from the Boho Blossom punch.

The card base was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and I brushed the Inka-Gold Paint onto the embossing.  The center part of the card front is a torn, distressed page from an old book.

It's hard to see the gold metallic paint on the cards well in these photos.  The ribbon is sheer with a gold thread in it.  I added some Pearl Pen dots in the flower centers.

This card is based on one I saw online.

Punched Flower Card

The August issue of Cards magazine inspired this layout.  I printed the sentiment using my card maker software, added some doodledots around the outer edge, hand cut the stem and used a SU punch for the leaves.  The flowers are 3 scalloped circles made with SU punches also.  The edges were inked and I stitched on a button for the centers.
