BREAKFAST SAUSAGE
PATTIES
Makes 24
patties 2 Weight Watcher Smart Points each
1 lb. Tyson ground reduced fat pork
1 lb. Ground white meat chicken
1 lb. Tyson ground reduced fat pork
1 lb. Ground white meat chicken
1 ½ tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Dried sage
1 tsp. Black pepper
½ tsp. Ground ginger
½ tsp. Cayenne pepper
I put the meat and spices into the bowl of my Kitchenaid mixer and mixed until the spices were well blended. Then I spread the mixture in an 8” square pan and put it in the freezer for about 30 minutes to make it easier to handle.

I divided
the pan into 8 pieces, then split each of the 8 pieces into 6 smaller pieces,
shaped them in patties and cooked them in a non-stick skillet until done.
Each piece
counts as 2 Smart Points. Or, you can
make larger patties and figure the points at 1.5 per ounce, uncooked weight. This compares to 3 points per ounce of
regular pork sausage and tastes really good, it's just much lower in fat than traditional sausage.
