Washi Tape Cards
I discovered a couple of rolls of Tim Holtz washi tape that I'd forgotten about having in my supplies. So I tried to come up with some idea on how to use it.
The butterflies were made out of mica paper with a three step butterfly punch.
The words were computer printed. The silhouette was done with a Tim Holtz die.

Using Paisley Cartridge Images
I tried two different versions of this card layout. The images are from the Paisley cartridge, cut on my Cameo.
This is my favorite of the two versions even though I forgot to add the black shadow layer to the word.
This is the first version. I felt like it needed something to take up part of the striped background and added a simple border cut.

Faith In Nature Stamps Card
The pear image is from Stampin' Up's Faith In Nature Stamp set.
I used a Sizzex oval embossing folder on a scalloped oval cut using my Cameo. The light yellow background was embossed also with large polka dots.
The pear image was colored using Promarkers.

Heart Shaped Cherries Card
This card was inspired by one from Kelly in Florida. I used her basic design and added my own touches.
The leaves were done with a Martha Stewart punch; the hearts were cut on my Cameo; the scalloped circles were punched. I cut the kraft border on my Cameo and pierced it by hand. The red border was done with a We R Memory Keepers punch.
The tiny red bows were purchased at Hobby Lobby at Christmas time. They have them every year in the area where decorations for mini-trees are displayed.
It's difficult to adhere 1/8" ribbon onto cardstock. Glue dots are all too large and make lumps that are visible, as does glue. The best way I've found is to cut the ribbon to length and lay it on a teflon sheet. Then apply ATG tape to the back side. I used 1/4" wide tape so there is a small amount of adhesive that shows but it's simple to remove by just rubbing your index finger over it after you apply the ribbon to the cardstock.

Dill Pickle Pasta Salad
I found this recipe at Spend With Pennies. Since I like pickles as well as pasta salad, I had to give it a try. I didn't measure the ingredients, just assembled it with proportions that looked right to me.
⅓ cup sour cream
⅛ tsp cayenne pepper
4 tablespoons pickle juice
salt & pepper to taste
Instead of dill pickles, I used baby Kosher dill, substituted dried dill weed for the fresh called for in the ingredients and used some baby elbow macaroni.
DILL PICKLE
PASTA SALAD
½ lb dry shell pasta (about 3 cups)
¾ cup sliced pickles
⅔ cup cheddar cheese, diced
3 tablespoons finely diced white onion
2 tablespoons fresh dill
½ cup pickle juice
Dressing
⅔ cup mayonnaise ⅓ cup sour cream
⅛ tsp cayenne pepper
4 tablespoons pickle juice
salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil pasta al dente according to package directions. Run under cold water to stop cooking.
- Toss cold pasta with about ½ cup of pickle juice and set aside for about 5 minutes. Drain & discard pickle juice. (I didn't discard the juice.)
- Combine all dressing ingredients in a small bowl and mix well.
- Toss all ingredients in a large bowl. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
Pinterest Inspired Cards
To make the folded back portion I measured down from the top 2 5/8" and over 1 1/2", made a pencil mark at that point then just cut across to it. I folded the double sided paper back to that point, making sure that I folded it to the corner.
The balloons were traced and cut using MTC software. I added some white gel lines and drew the strings. They're pop dotted for dimension.
I used my Cameo and MTC to cut the curve and the 1/4" holes in the black polka dot paper.
The sentiment was computer printed and punched with a Decorative Label punch. The butterflies were done with an Elegant Butterfly punch.
I added some Pearl Pen dots onto the butterflies and pop dotted them for dimension.

Honeycomb Birthday Card
This is my first attempt at making a card using my new computer. It took me quite some time to get all my files transferred, software installed and figure out how Windows 10 works!
The honeycomb background is a file created by Okieladybug to use with Make The Cut software. I modified it by adding some additional hexagons and welding a rectangle across the center portion.
The sentiment was cut using Lobster 1.4 font. The balloons were traced and cut and they're pop dotted for dimension.
It was inspired by a card seen on Pinterest (of course).
