Every year our town has a chocolate festival as a fundraiser. This year I agreed to make some items for them to sell. Even though I love to cook, I'm NOT a fancy baker. When I saw these on Nothing but Country blog I decided that they're unusual enough that people will buy them and simple enough that I could make them!
They're chocolate cupcakes with cream cheese icing and a few Mint M & M's on the top. I printed out "Cupcake to go" and used two different sized scalloped circle punches for that. The ribbon is just tied around the spoon handle and then attached to the side of the cup with some mounting foam.
Wish I'd known about doing the cupcakes this way when I was lugging dozens of them to my son's classroom. These would have been less messy for them to eat and easier to transport.

These are so cute and look so yummy! I definitely have to try this!
OMGosh, I love this idea Linda!!! Where did you find your cups with lids though???
Okay, this may be as bad as when I posted about making the 12 x 12 paper holders using Priority Mail boxes! LOL!
You can buy cases of lids at Sam's or you could check with local wholesaler's and see if you could get just a single sleeve from them.
I was in Target and on my way out the door when I realized that Starbuck's uses the 16 oz. cups. When I explained to the manager that I wasn't able to find the lids, he donated enough for me to make a dozen for the fund raiser.
I'll bet if you look around, you'll see that a lot of places have these lids for frozen drinks like Icees and you can get a few from a local retailer that way too.
Now I know why you needed the lids! Our Walmart didn't have any, forgot to tell ya that we checked when we were in there Friday.
