Today's card is showcasing a new technique I saw online. Take a page from an old book, tape it onto a sheet of cardstock, then select an image you like and print it onto the old book page.
Talk about a 30 minute card! It just can't get much easier than this.
The dragonfly image that I used was just found online by doing a Google search. I saved the file and then just did a little re-sizing before I printed it onto the book page. It did take me three tries to get it the size I needed and just where I wanted it to be on the book page.
This was my first attempt at doing this particular technique. I'd seen this same idea using stamps. Why make the investment in stamps, have to store them and then after you use them a while you get tired of the same images? Just utilize clip art and any photo editing or word processing program to manipulate the images.
This one did take more than thirty minutes, if you count the time it took to get the image aligned on the page where it needed to be.

love this!
I really like this card. I have on old book with sheet music that would work...with a pic of a bird on it? You're starting to influence my creativity! Yay!
What a great tip! Thank you! Your card is wonderful!

What a great idea! I was thinking of getting into stamping again but your use of clip art and its ability to resize insprired me to try it! I printed an image on cardstock, cut my old book's page and lined it up where I thought it would look best and taped it on top of the image, then ran it through the printer again. Thank you so much! Keep the ideas coming, please!
