And I even used a color wheel!

The colors on this card are just ugly.  I don't care if the Stampin Up color wheel does say that real red,  creamy caramel and old olive go together, or not.  It's a good thing I only cut enough of the caramel and the olive to do two cards!  I'm switching colors, for sure!  LOL!

The coffee cup is a clip art image that I colored with my Promarkers and cut out.  Punched the scallop circle and the bar holding the sentiment.  The silver rounds on each end are some hot-fix embellishments.  I Cuttlebugged the background paper, of course.

This card should win me the "What was she thinking?" award.  LOL!

  1. I like the red and the olive. I like the olive and the caramel. And I even like the caramel and the red. But I have to agree with you that I don't like them all together. I think that color wheel is full of shit! lol

Hmmm...what if you mounted it all on a different color instead of the red? Maybe a dark brown? Wonder if that would help balance it out?

  2. I think you're right. A dark brown would be better. Not very spring-like but would be a great fall card with maybe a hot chocolate cup! Thanks!

  3. You know what I like the most?? You post the good, the bad and the ugly like I do. Where is Clint Eastwood when we need him. It is all a process of trial and error. I like some of the individual elements but together ...so-so. You know I love you!!!

  4. I had to laugh when I read your post. I have done the same thing before, not with Stampin' up but just knowing what colors should go together and putting them together was a disaster...However, I do like all of the colors you have on your card. But, I do agree with Melissa, that all of them together is a bit much...The card, in itself, is really cute.

  8. Those colors do go together!! But the red should have been an accent.

  9. I was trying to use up the red card blanks on hand. It would be really pretty with white and blue---cuz you know I can put those colors together! LOL!

  10. Actually, I find it to be appealing! But I agree with Okie_ladybug....Perhaps one of the colors should have been an accent. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IT IN BUDWEISER COLORS.....DON'T FORGET TO CHANGE IT FROM A COFFEE CUP, TO A CAN!

  11. Diana--that would work for me but since these will be going overseas to the troops, I'm not so sure about putting a Bud can on them! LOL!
