It was getting close to Valentine's day and I'd already sent a box of 350 cards to my unit overseas but I still had about 30 Valentine cards left over. So, she sent me his address and I mailed them to him.
This is the thank you letter I got from him and 15 of the guys he's stationed with.
It meant a great deal to me that they took the time to let us know that they did appreciate receiving the cards to send to their sweethearts.
SWEETNESS! I love it! I love getting thank yous! Thank you for what you are still doing!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome Linda!
ReplyDeleteLetters like that make it all worth wild. Your doing a great job Linda! Thanks for all you do in helping the soldiers spread some cheer to their families.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful letter! And how very generous of you and the others who make these cards for our troops!
ReplyDeleteHow precious...and these guys are only in basic training. Just imagine what the soldiers in battle feel like! Thanks for all you do for them!

My son is a soldier in the United States Army. I want to Thank - you for thinking of them while they are away serving this great country of ours. These soldiers moms are beaming with joy right now and they should be very impressed that their sons sent thank-you's. Again I just wanted to take a moment to tell you Thank - you for bringing a little special something to the lives of these men and women. Always Mindy proud mom of soldier Dustin Shapley United States Army.
ReplyDeleteI love this! The page with the little notes from the other soldiers is awesome!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind comments.
ReplyDeleteNot all the cards that I ship are made by me. I am a shipper for CFS so the box I send is filled by myself and several other cardmakers.
Before becoming a shipper I used to do around 350 cards for each challenge. Now I concentrate on making cards that are a little more detailed and only commit to making 150. If I get more than that done, it's great. That way the box will be totally full if I don't get enough contributions.
This thank you note got posted on the CFS MB so all the cardmakers could read it too.
Well Linda I am sitting here in tears right now! This is absolutely AMAZING! That American Soldier you speak of is my Son! Wow! If that doesn't make a Mom proud, then I don't know what does! Thank you so much for sending those cards! You are such a wonderful, amazing, caring, and loving person! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I need to go grab another kleenex! I am counting down the days till I get to see my son again! 13 days left! Thanks again Linda! You made my night!
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda for sharing this heartfelt note that puts everything in perspective. Your generous deeds were rewarded by very grateful soldiers.
