Cherries!

Last year I fell in love with cherries!  Each time I go into the LSS or craft store I look to see if they might have added any new paper with cherries that I haven't seen or don't have in my stash.

Then, if I find a new one and take it home, I can't stand to cut it up!  Once it's gone, I can't be sure I'll find it again! LOL!

This paper came from the scrapbook store closest to my house. The sentiment was generated in MS Word and mounted onto SU scalloped circle.  MS border punch for the white "lace", and a some red doodledots around the outside.  I "sacrificed" some of my polka dot sheets to do this bunch of cards.  I'm sort of attached to my polka dots too!

Another simply made card.  I used Old Olive SU cardstock for the card front on this one.  This is the type of card I like to make for donation.  I think it looks cute but it doesn't have so many embellishments on it that it won't go through the mail easily.

On this one I just added a border punch strip from SU and a little ribbon.

Another "word circle" done in MS Word was used on this one.

SU Tart and Tangy stamp set used on this one.  Paper is some that I rushed to get when SU discontinued the design!  How sad!  It's one of my all time SU favorites and would LOVE to get more of it!  I used a SU scalloped square punch for the green photo corner.    I punched the scalloped square first, then punched the center out with a square punch.  Then cut across it diagonally to make it into a photo corner.  Added some doodledots  ---I love saying that word---doodledots, it just sounds silly!

This one has Cuttlebug embossing on the black paper, I tucked in a couple of pieces of folded ribbon behind the center part. Computer generated the Happy Birthday and then used the Tart and Tangy cherry stamp over it.  Some more doodledots---there's that word again! LOL!

I like the clean lines on this one.  Basic white cardstock just covered with the cherry stamps.  I used a SU scallop circle punch to do the red circle and just mounted another cherry on it.  The sentiment was printed with Hallmark Card Maker software.

Once in a while I do something besides cards.  This is an empty almond can that I wrapped with some different cherry paper and just added a red ribbon for some detail.  It was given full of chocolate candy to one of my very best friends.

This is an empty pepper can.  It will be used to hold some spice mix to give as a gift. 

Here's my favorite Santa face again.  I computer printed the sentiment and added some red stickles onto the cherries on his hat. So, cherries are a year round fruit!

Sort of a play on words.  These Christmas cards are some that I did last year.  This year, I'll be scrounging through my scrap folder and will use up every little sliver of the cherry paper I have left, I'm sure.  Wish that SU would bring the Rockabilly paper back again!
